the installer contains, i don't give a ratz azz about what the twits in the eac forum say; the ebay adcrap is, i don't care that it's's malware and should not be in an installer.get it the h - e - double - hockey - sticks out of the installer or betanews should remove it and blacklist it.i'm tired of this garbage masquerading as so9mething harmless and the stupid apologists defending or excusing's star.

totally agree with the other comments about the unfortunate lack of wavpack encoding.

@music4ever, i welcome all reviews (even yours). it would be helpful if you'd keep your reviews on topic and make them about the software (instead of about me replying to reviews here). replying to these reviews in my forum is not a reasonable "workaround". until this system allows for replying to reviews, i will continue to reply in any way that is most helpful. helping people is my ultimate goal. i know that makes you very unhappy for some reason, but that's really of no concern to me because it's kind of silly.

okay version 0.80 has serious bugs. after installing it on my system - windows xp pro, 32 bit i get the following error every time an application is launched:------------------------------------------------------------------------------------this application has failed to start because dwrite.dll was not found. re-installing the application may fix this problem. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------i tried running it as a service then as a registry setting but both times i received the same error. i am downgrading my rating by 1 star because i think it has potential.

microsoft money was the one discontinued but not microsoft streets and trips. microsoft streets and trips is not designed to use for garmin, and it is pointless to make it work with garmin as garmin is already loaded with maps, and basically has a lot of duplicate functionality.gps that comes with ms can only tell the location, while the software provides advanced mapping, trip planning, and map browsing in a way that garmin cannot do too well.i use streets and trips to help me look at my routes, optimize trips with multiple locations, and find other interesting information such as restaurants and poi. though my garmin can do this as well, pois only work on the spot, and it is slow. streets and trips make it easy for me to zoom in and out of the map, pan and search for information in blazing speed. i don't need internet connection to do this, so it works perfectly anywhere with or without wifi connection.garmin does not come with any road construction update, but streets and trips do, so it helps me avoid construction zone. streets and trips isn't designed to replace the simplicity of general gps such as garmin or tomtom. for navigation, it is still easier to hang a 7" screen on the windshield than mounting a laptop. streets and trips rival other mapping software products (note that i am not comparing with online mapping such as google maps or mapquest) with simple interface and convenient navigation.occasionally i find some maps are out of date in some areas, if not, it would have earned a 5-star!
