everything-1.2.1.371 is a beauty - but i cannot install it on windows 7 - is there a shortcut or ea version for that?

it is a *tiny* bit unstable, however, all-in-all i must say that this could really be the end-all as far as successfully downloading deliberately obfuscated streams from the internet! i can't believe someone didn't do this years ago.in theory, it is basically impossible to prevent this program from downloading streaming content, precisely because of the fact that it functions on the network level (hence the mandatory winpcap driver installation). i personally haven't had it fail once, even on sites that violently block you from downloading.excellent, keep up the good work!

i updated this program today - it does a great job of defragging but: looking in task manager after reading the remarks below it actually has 3 processes running, using in total around 21 meg of ram - auto update is off everything that can be un-checked is un-checked , smart is also off - how can a defragger justify running 3 windows processes while it's doing nothing?mbam is only using 8 meg more -edit: windows use of ram is not simplistic, feeling that as you have 16 gig you can do as you like does not work in practice, if it did life would be far simpler - if you are still on 32 bit & most are your stuck with 3 gig tops & memory management that harks back almost 20 years - bottom line is the less ram used on idle the better your experience will be, whether or not a program that's using 21 meg of ram at idle & pushing 240 gig of space is going to speed windows up will be the subject of much conjecture, add to that cpu cycles by windows services - i have a multiple license for pd (and using it as i type) but are not going to defend the undefenable - raxco could do better, probably by starting again rather than patching a program that␙s been much the same for years.you will see raxco are diversifying their product range greatly & for good reason, defragging will soon be a thing of the past & on linux you don't need to & many now argue that it's no longer needed on windows & certainly not to the degree that racxo, o&o, & diskeeper would like you to believe.

wow, you guys sure are witty!actually, i used jrmc for years. i first registered it (when it was media jukebox) back in 2002. is that using it enough for you?i post brief and snarky reviews here because i just don't care enough to post descriptive, detailed criticisms of the program. that has no relation to how i posted in the j. river forums. in actuality, i posted in exactly the appropriate manner.and i did not give up on jrmc easily. i tried for months to get my problem resolved. i kept bumping my thread and providing more details as i found them. but no one took any interest in providing any real assistance.

as others have said - it is mature and that's what matters. a bit over-engineered here and there and the ui is sort of "stuck in the 90s", but it works well.

not downloadable from b.n. fileforum, from codecguide, nor from other of a dozen sites i visit. available only by html link from this forum on a forum i never used before and it's not even an installer - only a "download guru" downloader program - not a standalone installer. plus, the splash screen of the installer doesn't even know how to spell correctly. it's pathetic. i do not, nor should you, trust this installer. 24 hours after the new codec pack version release this update comes and they can't release an actual installer as usual ? or spell english on it's installer (whoever it is that made it that is)...anyone else have proof this is going to download an actual, genuine installer of a an update release or is someone screwing around?can't spell english - it's hilarious.

a great program. i needed a very lean browser for a slow old laptop that kept having fits of disk-thrashing when nothing would work. i also like the idea of browsers that work on all (or most) operating systems. i tried chrome which was quick but sometimes it would gobble up all the memory, eventually using up half the ram and killing the system. opera doesn't do that and its wickedly fast, has a nice slider for resizing text and everything else. awesome work. i am converted.
